August Newsletter: Hiring New Staff & Upgrading Our Facilities

It has been very busy at the Southern Highlands Addiction Retreat, welcoming new guests, hiring new staff and continuously updating our facilities.

Here are some behind the scenes photos and updates to check out!

As always, if you or a loved one is battling addiction and would like to speak to our team about a stay, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Fun Activities

One of the best things about our retreat is how many activities there are. On top of all our on-site facilities, guests enjoy going to nearby attractions for a mixture of exercise and spiritual connection.

Axe Throwing

The guests really enjoy honing their blade skills! It's a great way to develop your concentration skills and dexterity.

Equine Therapy

Guests love working with animals, especially the horses. A unique bond often develops between the two.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is always a fun way to challenge yourself, get the heart pumping and develop teamwork skills.

Alcohol Addiction Quiz

We've created a free and anonymous alcohol addiction quiz which allows you to see if your alcohol consumption is risky.

It only takes about a minute and can be very helpful.

You can do it yourself or you send it to a loved one and find out if you are no risk, medium risk or high risk.

Drug Addiction Quiz

We've also created a free and anonymous quiz for drug use.

Similar to the alcohol quiz it only takes about a minute, and will help you or a loved one understand if your drug use is a risk.

The Puppies Have Been Named...

On social media and in our last newsletter, we asked our community what our loveable Shih Tzu puppies should be named.

The final verdict was Missy and Elliot. These two are incredibly friendly and our guests have loved being greeted by them each day.
